Twelve by Three 33Jazz072 - 2003 "Swings enough to make you want
to kick the cat from the outset. A wide selection of material...
beautifully played and recorded..." "Tim Richards... moves with impressive
confidence from boiling Latin rhythms to bebop, ballads and even
a tinge of gospel, while still retaining his own recognisable
style. He also understands the art of choosing
a good programme, alternating standards like Billy Strayhorn's
"Isfahan" and Horace Silver's "Safari" with
a few of his own pieces. The cohesion that comes from playing together
regularly makes this an impressive band." |

The Other Side 33Jazz037 - 1998 "Digs deep into the groove bag" "Tim Richards' piano playing has
the distinction of being both adventurous and immediately attractive.
" "Tim's blues phrasing and sense
of harmonic structures are hugely impressive..." |
