The above classes run for 3 terms October - June, enrolling in September, although it is sometimes possible to join at other times, depending on previous experience and class numbers.

The following ENSEMBLE evening class for ALL instruments runs in the summer term only:

INTRODUCING JAZZ IMPROVISATION
Tuesdays, 22 April - 3 June 2008 (seven classes 6.00-9.00)
GOLDSMITHS COLLEGE (details above)

For ALL instruments. Designed to give competent players with little or no experience of jazz the opportunity to play with other musicians and develop their improvisational skills. Help given with improvisation, chords, etc...

Bass players, drummers, and all brass or reeds players especially welcome! For the final sessions a professional rhythm section is provided for students to play with.

Course materials provided include the Tim Richards Trio Educational Resource Pack, based on the tunes contained on the The Other Side TRIO CD, an 85-page booklet with parts for all instruments, suggestions for improvisation, keyboard voicings, basslines, drum patterns, etc...
The education pack is NOT available separately from the CD.

Cost: £110 (no concessions).
